For generations, the Morton Family has farmed this land
The Morton Family has been farming on this land for generations, but it took a trip to France in the 1980’s by Wes and Elsie to focus exclusively on grape growing. It started as a wine-making hobby, however as a strong demand developed for their grapes by regional wineries, it was clear that Morton Vineyards had something special.
Wes and his sister Leslie and partner/brother-in-law Rocky teamed up and expanded the operations to include the beautiful Huggard Estate located at the head of the Buttersville Peninsula.
The entire family is involved - from harvest to marketing and they are excited to make Pere Marquette Wines available to the public.
